AZIMUT Art Residences "Room with a View" is the first public art program in Russia to develop the cultural landscape of Russian cities, created on the basis of the wide geography of the AZIMUT Hotels network. The new project will unite the spheres of art and hospitality, emphasizing the identity of various regions of the Russian Federation.
As part of the project, artists will create a series of unique art objects, each of which will become a collective symbol of the traditions and values of the region, reflecting its cultural code. Three artists will have the opportunity to implement their projects on the streets of Russian cities.
The winners of the open competition will be able to create art objects in Nizhny Novgorod, Astrakhan and Murmansk. The hotels of the AZIMUT Hotels chain will become creative and working spaces for artists. The authors are provided with a grant for the implementation of the project and related expenses are covered. It is assumed that the art objects should become new city attractions.
The art residences were created as part of the AZIMUT ART contemporary art support program, implemented by the hotel chain since 2021. The company actively supports modern authors, providing them with creative spaces based on the chain's hotels. Successful cooperation has already been implemented in Moscow, Vladivostok, Pereslavl-Zalessky and other cities.

The idea of the new project is to take art beyond the hotel, make it accessible not only to guests, but also to all tourists and locals, and emphasize the scale of our country with its cultural diversity. At the first stage, three cities were selected that characterize the north, south and central parts of Russia. In the future, it is planned to scale the project to all cities where the network is present.
Interdisciplinary artists, designers and architects with experience working with art in public space are invited to participate in art residencies. The organizer takes care of the authors' accommodation, transportation costs and the implementation of the objects created in the residence. Applications are accepted until July 27, 2025 on the website.
